Whidbey Honey – Now By Region!

New for 2015, in addition to our Blackberry Honey, we have our Whidbey Regionals. Shady Lane Bees has hives at different locations here on Whidbey Island and each location has it’s own set of pollen and nectar sources in the vicinity. Each providing their own distinctive aroma and flavors.

(in approximate order of prevalence)

Deception Pass Region:
Wild blackberry, herbs (marjoram, thyme, rosemary, borage, etc.) and fireweed.

Dugualla Region:
Wild blackberry, raspberry, blueberry, strawberry and wildflowers

West Beach Region:
Clover, wildflowers, lavender, strawberry, hairy vetch, wild blackberry

Admiralty Bay Region:
Wild blackberry,
clover, hairy vetch, wildflowers

I am also are selling a very limited supply of Cut Comb Honey. Straight from the hive, the honeycomb is cut and placed in a nice biodegradable/compostable container.
